Houston Lawyer and Motorcycle Community Team up to Fight Hunger
Walker Texas Lawyer and the motorcycle community teamed up to Fight Hunger! The 37th Annual Share Your Holidays Drive presented by abc13 was a great success because of the many sponsors, volunteers, and partners. These individuals and groups donated money, food, and time. The event benefitted the Houston Food Bank, which is America's largest food bank. Distributing to its network of nearly 600 hunger relief charities in 18 southeast Texas counties.
Due to the terrible effects of Hurricane Harvey, this drive is even more important to the Houston Area. More than 30,000 families are still without a home and need food and help. Walker Texas Lawyer and the Walker Law Firm stand behind our community. We believe that Houston Strong is more than a phrase, it's a way of life. If we all do our part as family, friends, and neighbors, we can feed every hungry Houstonian.

In fall 2008, the Houston Food Bank merged with End Hunger Network, a Houston-area food rescue organization, thus making more effective use of community resources by working together as one.
In the fiscal year 2016-2017, the Houston Food Bank distributed 83,000,000 nutritious meals. As a result, the vision is to expand service to the community to 100,000,000 nutritious meals by 2018.
ABC13 Share Your Holidays Food Drive
Every dollar donated to the Houston Food Bank provides the equivalent of three meals for an individual.
Share Your Holidays benefits the Houston Food Bank. The Houston Food Bank is America's largest food bank in distribution to its network of nearly 600 hunger-relief charities. These charities are located in 18 southeast Texas counties, feeding 137,000 people each week.
Giving to the abc13 Share Your Holidays Food Drive illustrates how caring people make a difference. By working together to help neighbors, we can make a difference. Your donations and financial contributions help the Houston Food Bank.  As a result, the holidays will be warm for those most in need. Share Your Holidays and help make the season brighter.
