The Peace of Mind Foundation will host the 2nd Annual Ride for Mental Health on Saturday, May 11, 2019.
By officer escort, we will be riding through the city of Houston starting at Gallery Furniture North Freeway and ending at Gallery Furniture Grand Parkway. The purpose of the Ride for Mental Health is to help raise awareness and end the stigma associated with mental health.
As many as 1 in 5 adults will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime impacting both men and women. Last year, the Peace of Mind Foundation partnered with Orange County Choppers (American Choppers Show) to create two custom bikes that represent the journey someone takes living with a mental illness. The two bikes represent life before treatment and after treatment.
The goal of the Ride for Mental Health event is to unite mental health organizations along with the motorcycle community to end stigma related to mental health and bring awareness to valuable resources in our community. #Ride4MentalHealth
